 DIY Race Tracks for Kids
Kids and creativity can go hand-in-hand even when it comes to making things whether indoors or outdoors. I recently came across a few ideas on how kids can make their own race tracks for toy cars. Â These ideas are not only brilliant but pretty easy to execute as well.
Backyard Race Tracks
Basically pick an area in your yard that you don't mind digging up. Â Using a shovel, dig up a canal resembling a race track. Â Makes loops, curves, etc. Purchase race track roads or make one yourself from Michaels or Hobby Lobby and place onto the shoveled areas. This is perfect, especially if you don't want kids racing the cars in the house.
Magnetic Race Track Wall
You can purchase wide magnetic strips and add yellow paint lines to make your race track. Â The kids will get a kick out of this. Cut the strips as wide as you would like and place on an area in your home you don't mind adding the magnetic strips.Â
Felt Race Tracks
This idea is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Just cut out and compile a bunch of felt to make it look like car tracks. Â Cut out little cars and presto! Purchasing a large felt board to house these little creations are great too!
Tape Track
A recent idea I saw on Pinterest was simply using Scotch tape or masking tape. Â Tape down onto a floor you don't mind sticking tape to. Outline the tape to appear like a race track. Turn ordinary toilet paper rolls into cars by being creative and adding fake wheels, etc.
Creating your own race track can get as creative as you wish. Â The possibilities are endless!
