7 Places You Should Visit as a Family

 I love traveling to different places with my family every chance we get. Since we are a larger family, flying isn't something that is affordable for us so we take it upon ourselves to plan road trips to the places we want to see. Planning a road trip can be stressful for some but I find it quite enjoyable. I love to look for quirky places to stop and see along the way as well as finding things that are educational as well. I have to admit, I have a bucket list of places I want to visit with my family and I think these 8 places should be on every family's vacation list. 

1. Washington D.C. - Tour the White House, visit the Museum of Natural History and the National Air and Space Museum, the Lincoln Memorial, war memorials and so much more. 

2. New York City - Take the family to Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and The Met, MOMA, Times Square, China Town and all of the other amazing things NYC has to offer. 

3. Williamsburg - Learn about our founding fathers at Colonial Williamsburg, pay a visit to Busch Gardens, and stop by a variety of monuments, memorials and museums. This is a great vacation for families who home school. 

4. Yellowstone - Beautiful multi-colored pools, hot springs, forests, geysers, wildlife and more. Old Faithful, Yellowstone Lake and all kinds of great things to see. 

5. Yosemite  National Park - Imagine 1200 square miles of towering waterfalls, ancient Sequoia tress, unique rock formations and see it all here. 

6. Grand Canyon - This beautiful formation carved into rock and continuously growing with the help of the Colorado River offers beautiful sights, hiking trails and more. 

7. San Francisco - Hop on a cable car, take in some shopping, visit the Golden Gate Bridge, head to Fisherman's Wharf, enjoy some food and explore. These are just a few of the items on our family bucket list at this time.  What is on your family travel bucket list?
